Apartment 301 – exterior

Apartment 301 is situated on the top level of the office and apartment wing built by Modum Ullvarefabrikk (Modum woolware factory) and faces the southwest. The building underwent thorough renovations in 2017-18 The apartment includes a large glassed-in balcony.utsiden

The apartment has one bedroom with two separate beds, mattresses 90x200 cm. Beds will be made before arrival. There is also bedding for use with the living room corner sofa, which sleeps two. Mattress sizes 190x75cm and 243x75cm.

The apartment part of the building is marketed as “Strandpromenaden”, the Strand Promenad. (See vikersundsentrum.no for promotional material.)

Main entrance is from the south end of Vikersundgata, right by the rail way underpass and has the address Vikersundgata 34. Because the floors in different parts of the building are staggered, the elevator stops are half a floor apart. Apartment 301 is on the fifth level.

On the base level with a large parking lot towards the Strandpromenaden road you will find Vikersund local mall, with grocery stores, alcohol sale, pharmacy, florists and more. All of which are accessible from the apartment without leaving the building.

Renters have access to common roof terrace on the second floor, i.e. on top of the mall.

Included in the rent for the first day are provisions for a basic breakfast. This includes milk, orange juice, butter, eggs and a small selection of sandwich spreads, as well as crisp bread, instant coffee and tea bags.

Parking

The rent also covers the parking spot which is in a roofed area shared with the other apartment parking spots.

No smoking rules and house rules

Smoking is banned in the entire apartment. If landlord notices the smell of smoke after departure, additional cleaning of the apartment will be done at the renter's expense. The glassed-in balcony is equipped with two collapsible chairs and an ashtray.

Renters are expected to respect the building rules which include quite hours 11pm to 7am.

Additional nights (no breakfast)

450 per night for one person
200 additional rent per night per additional person

Substantial discount for stays longer than one week.

Rent to be paid in advance at booking – will be refunded in full in case of cancellations at least one week before start of rental. Half the rent will be refunded in full if booking is canceled 3-6 days before start of rental.
